Chapter 43. A Report

Anna ignored the feeling and even though she was tempted to tell Carly about it, she simply just brushed it off. 

When they entered the police station, the place was a bit crowded, and almost everyone seemed to be busy. She felt very overstimulated and wanted to leave but knew that she was there for a reason. 

“Are you sure about this?” She asked Carly. “We don’t even have the note. And the place is crowded, they’re not going to hear us out.” 

“Stop worrying, they will. Just let me handle this. Now, follow my lead.” Carly led the way and pushed past a few people before reaching the front desk. “Excuse me, ma’am, we have a complaint.” 

“We?” The woman raised an eyebrow. 

Then Carly gestured towards Anna who was right beside her. “Yes, we. We got a note last night from someone and it was very morbid.” 

“Morbid how?” The woman sounded bored. 

“Quit your job or die,” Anna said the words that were written on the note.&
