Chapter 123. Risky Deals

Anna didn’t move immediately. 

She eyed Vito’s outstretched hand, her emotions stirring in her stomach. She had come here expecting resistance, maybe even outright rejection. 

But a deal? That was something she hadn’t fully prepared for.

She glanced at Lorenzo, whose expression remained unreadable, then back at Vito. “Are you being serious? What’s the catch? This feels way too easy.”

Anna had treat issues, and could you blame her? You would have trust issues too if you go through all she had gone through. 

Vito’s smirk widened slightly. “Smart girl.” He leaned forward slightly, his fingers flexing before curling into a loose fist. “Nothing in this world comes for free, Anna. You know that.”

Of course she did.

She steeled herself, keeping her voice steady. “So tell me, what do you want? Even though taking down Victor benefits you too.”
