Chapter 181. Anything Can Go Wrong

Anna pushed off the door and headed straight for her closet, rifling through the clothes Victor had stocked for her.

Nothing in there would work…she needed to blend in, to look like she belonged at a party like this, but also be able to move if things went south.

What was she even doing? Chadwick had said that he would send her something to wear. Though the thought made her uneasy, it was not like she had much of a choice.

She would have to rely on whatever the man would send her.

So right, she needed to focus on getting ready and prepared for tonight. That meant she would have to reach out to Vito soon and explain to him the new updates.

Anna left the closet and went to the bathroom. She took a good and long hot shower before finding something to wear during the day.

But because of her anxiety, she felt like she needed a run. So she put down on the bed the clothes she had found for the day and changed into some running clothes.
