Amelia’s POV
“Give us a month to prepare, please,” coaxed Mom.
“Then I’ll run away with Amelia,” he said stubbornly.
I punched his arm discreetly, then glared at him to stop the discussion. I was dying of embarrassment here. How could he argue in front of the whole family? Didn’t he realize we looked like desperate teenagers instead of two mature adults?
“Prepare whatever you can, Audi. You have two weeks, don’t you? Why harass the boy? He’s already been through a lot,” Dad said calmly, as Tristan grinned happily. Mom rolled her eyes.
“Thank you, Dad,” said Tristan with a triumphant grin. No one argued after that and Tristan looked around with a shit-eating grin on his face. “My pleasure, son. Where do you plan to get married?” Dad asked us.
