Chapter 19. Meeting Jason Again

Claire’s POV 

I was settled in my room and after checking everything, Mom, Dad, Uncle Kevin, and Aunt Sarah left to return home. It was already 5 o’clock in the evening and I had a light soup and took a nap.

Aunt Emily woke me up for dinner and after having the creamy fish stew with bread rolls, I took my medication and fell asleep. I was too drowsy and tired to do anything else. I spent the whole time locked up in my room. With the curtains drawn and the balcony door closed, I blocked out Jason and his room from my view altogether. Therefore, I didn’t know if he was there at his house or not. In fact, I wasn’t even curious to know. My soul was dead already!

The next day, Mom, Dad, and Stefan visited me and then left for New York. I wasn’t allowed to go to college for a week until I completely recovered, so I spent my time either reading, chatting with Aunt Emily, or watching a movie.
