Chapter 16. Failed Actions
I stare at my glass and feel everything dragging me down. I've done so well, but why should I even bother if she is leaving me?
"Willing to share?" I turn to the woman, and she holds out her glass, smiling. Lifting the bottle, I pour some into her glass. I watch as she takes a sip and smiles at me. She walks around me, her finger stroking down my back.
"Are you alone?" She leans against the bar, her eyes fixed on mine, and I nod to her. "Want company?"
"Sure, although I won't be great company tonight." If anything, I will just darken everyone who comes near me and leave them feeling like shit as well.
"I'm sure I could cheer you up." She laughs and moves closer. Finishing my drink, I refill it. She stands waiting.
