Chapter 42. Too Exhausted

Shantelle's POV

It was already six in the evening, and I was leaving the office. I still didn't answer all of Gavin's calls. 

I had to complete everything because the deadline for some projects are almost near. 

No one could distract my attention. I didn't want to mix my personal life with my work. 

I also don't want the quality of my business to go down just because of the emotions I'm feeling right now. 

While walking in the parking lot, someone forcefully grabbed my arm. I was startled. I looked behind to see who had stopped me. 

It was Gavin. 

He looked directly into my eyes and seemed dangerous, as if he was angry at me. We exchanged looks, and I glared at him. He was surprised at how I looked at him.

He suddenly let go of my hand and put his hands inside his pockets.

"Why aren't you answering my calls? I was worried about you," he said, and I felt he was concerned because of his voice.
