I slowly walk along the side of the training field and watch everyone practicing the latest move. A sense of pride washes over me as most have picked it up and have mastered it with little effort. Now, they need to keep practicing so they can do it without thinking when they are in a fight.

Zack nudges my arm. “They look pretty good.”

I smile and nod. “Yes. They are getting it much faster than other groups I’ve worked with. I think it might be because they understand the urgency to learn it fast and help protect the pack. I don’t know if the pack hadn’t been having problems if they would have been this dedicated to it.”
