Chapter 11
After Aidan told me to get the children off the training field, I took Asta to the dining hall for a late lunch and walked Will back to the kitchens. Our trip to the garden maze would have to wait. According to Asta’s schedule, she should have been eating lunch a while ago.
Once they were both settled, I went to find Cordelia and told her about the curtain Asta had burned that morning. She barely reacted, already halfway into the storage room before I finished talking.
Apparently, a five-year-old setting fabric on fire didn’t surprise anyone in this castle. She came back out with a heavy bundle of clean fabric and dropped it straight into my arms.
“Replace them while Asta is eating.”
So much for thinking I had nothing left to do today.
