Chapter 11
The arrival of Noelle made Jun extremely antsy. For one, he was yet to accept the proposal, and then again, it was just too soon. The entire palace was in total disarray as everyone — noble and servant — rushed helter-skelter to put things in order for the princess’ impromptu appearance.
He passed through the hallways and started hearing whispers, mainly from the males, about the princess’ glorious beauty and liquid grace. Someone described her as having the fierceness of a tigress but the grace of a doe. Another person said she was exceedingly charming and brilliant and spoke the human tongue well.
Of all these, Jun was only curious to see how beautiful she turned out to be. He remembered those years when he was a pup and followed his father to the monthly meetings, where he and the rest of the heirs would sneak up on Noelle during her lessons. Then the tutors would fish them out and make them sit in on the lessons. When the classes were over, the pups would be let loos
