Chapter 14
Raymond stopped in his tracks and signaled the others to do the same. A noise came from the trees in front of him. He toed slowly and quietly around the area, making sure not to lose sight of the fading footmarks on the forest floor. He signaled Harper to go around in the opposite direction and for the rest to spread out and cover them.
An hour ago, he was in the precinct, mapping out more areas to cover in search of Leticia. He planned to go in the Western direction of the town and search the slummed-up area. One of his contacts that claimed he had a lead came up flat. The girl he honed on, thinking it could be Leticia, ended up being an underage stripper in the city.
