“You need to take a break. I will watch over him for you.”

Daniel cast his gaze on Jane for the first time since she walked. “No can do,” he said turning back to face his father.

“You can’t keep hurting yourself…”

“I have been thinking.”

“I’m not leaving New Orleans anymore. Whoever did this, must pay with their life.”
