Chapter 41
The next morning, Mia lay in bed, unable to get up. Her thoughts from last night were eloping her once more. She was yet to get over her traumatic experience. She wondered why someone would want to hurt a sweet soul like her. She was carefree and was usually not bothered about this kind of thing, but after two days, she was slowly finding out that life was not all about seeing rainbows and unicorns. It was not all about colorfulness and butterflies. Rather, life had a dark side to all these things. The dark side consisted of deaths, abducting, molestation, and many more that she could not list. But, this did not change her mindset that in every darkness there was light.
She sighed as she finally rolled off the bed. She dragged her feet into the bathroom and closed the door gently.
After a long hour, she walked down the stairs for breakfast. "Good morning," she greeted Alex and Hendrix as she sat down.
