Chapter 45

As soon as the sun was up in the sky, Alex walked out of the pack house and headed towards the stables. He went to the stalls of the three horses and discovered that they were awake already. He stood in the stables, watching the horses as he realized that his theory had finally been affirmed. The h*rb was a strong h*rb used in making people or animals fall asleep, and the h*rb had been mixed with the spice in the kitchen to make it easier for location, and he wondered why.

This only meant that whoever was responsible for the killings of the red wolves during the red moon was a member of the pack. It also meant that there were two killers involved in this mystery. One of the killers was in the Diamond Shadow pack and the other was right in his pack.

Do not jump to conclusions, Alex. A spice that makes one fall asleep in both packs does not possibly mean that a serial killer was living in our midst, he thought to himself and then shook his head. What was he thinking about
