Chapter 49
As Alex pulled Mia out of the house, she kept staring at him and wondered why he blew hot and cold sometimes. One moment, he's irritated by her presence, does not want her talking to him, and does not want her near him, and the next moment, he speaks to her without being forced to, and tonight, he even danced with her!
"The party is not over yet," Mia said to him, as she struggled to keep up with his long strides.
"I do not give a damn about the party. We're not staying here anymore, even for a second," he replied, still maintaining that calm tone of his, Mia wondered how his eyes could be so evident of his anger, but his tone was as calm as possible.
Was he jealous that alpha Reed had danced with her more than she had intended him to? She wondered as they got into the carriage. Was that why he pulled her out of the party in a rush? She pondered back to the pack house. Different thoughts went through her mind and spread out like wildfire on a Harmattan morning.
