Chapter 54

The next morning, Alex woke up beside the river, completely naked. He groaned as he placed his hand on his head and heaved. "Finally awake, I see," Hendrix said from beside him.

Alex looked in his direction and then looked around. He realized that he was sitting only a few feet away from the river. "Here," Hendrix said again, and Alex looked at him to see Hendrix handing clothes over to him. 

He took the clothes from Hendrix and stood up. He cleaned his body from the dirt of the woods and slowly put on the clothes as his mind flashed back to when he was in the river and that was all he could remember. "How did you know I was here?" Alex finally spoke as he put on his shirt.

Hendrix shrugged. "You were quite in a foul mood last night and with the way you left the pack house, I was sure something was amiss. Then, you did not sure up for dinner and your father and Mia had asked about you. I had to come up with an excuse for you," he explained.
