Seven’s POV
Shantelle was quiet throughout the ride, and I couldn’t stop looking at her through the rear mirror. She was so deep in her thoughts that I would pay anything to be in it or to know what she was thinking about.
I would have wanted to banter more with her, but it looked like she gave up easily or she was angry at her friend that she wasn’t doing what most friends would have done for her. Rather, she was throwing her under the bus.
I didn’t know why Keshon was doing that. I stared a glance at her. She wasn’t sleeping, but she looked better than when she was asking me for a ride.
This was better because I wouldn’t feel so bad when I dropped her off at her house and didn’t get any inclination to make sure she was alright.
I was calm because I didn’t have anything to say, but I also loved the peace. Sean was rubbing off his quietness on me.
