Shantelle’s POV
It was getting late, and if I wanted to make it home, I would have to leave now. I appreciated the effort Seven put into the food he made. I didn’t know he was a good cook; maybe it was because he didn’t look like one.
Seven didn’t bother asking me any questions after I told him I was okay and that he needed to look after his sauce. It was surprising, but he looked as though he understood what I wanted and gave me the space to do that. I would have told him thank you, but I already did the moment he served the food.
He didn’t bring up Keshon anymore or talk to me except when he asked if I wanted wine to go with the meal or water. I opted for wine because, while I might not be an alcoholic, I indulged whenever I was in a mood. It was funny because my parents always encouraged me to take wine, but it wasn’t something I liked doing.
