Shantelle’s POV
He lowered his palm away from my mouth but kept his other wrapped around my waist. I didn’t understand what was going on, but I was happy to be there. We didn’t need to do anything; the quiet was what I wanted. He didn’t bother asking me any questions, and that was what I needed—not to be asked about what was wrong with me.
The contrast between him and Roman might be the reason why I wouldn’t just let him go. I had always known that what I had with Roman was just sexual tension. It was going to end soon.
“Where did you go?” he asked, standing up.
I couldn’t stop myself from looking at his form. He was nothing short of the perfect size and shape, and he didn’t need to do much to get me to his bed. I didn’t need to think about what was happening to me. I knew that I wanted him from the first day I saw him, so this wasn’t a surprise.
