Chapter 65
Seven’s POV
I knew I wasn’t sneaking into the house; that was what I kept telling myself until I noticed I was tiptoeing. The only reason I could be doing that was because I didn’t want Sean coming outside.
He was going to say something, and I wasn’t ready to do that dance with him.
“Where have you been?” He caught me unaware.
I hadn’t expected him to be so quiet. I didn’t know how he wanted me to answer this question. I was interested in knowing if being silent would just make him leave me alone, but it looked like that wasn’t going to be the case. He had time for me; I could see it in his eyes.
“This is past closing hours.”
I knew this. His reminding me of that meant that I had a long speech coming or that he had been trying to reach me, and I was nowhere to be found. That could be the only reason he was so worked up.
