Chapter 7
Shantelle’s POV
“Where are you rushing to?” Keshon asked.
She caught hold of my hands before I could leave the class.
I didn’t have time for all of these. I wanted to go home, get to my bed, and start playing with my imagination. I didn’t see Seven after Keshon called my attention back to the class, but the true connection we had or felt during the eyes competition thingy was enough for me to start whatever imagination I was going to have.
“I have to go. I just remembered that I had to help my mother with a little chore,” I said.
I was lying through my teeth and I just hope Keshon wasn’t going to figure it out that I was lying and she would just let me go.
“Are you alright?” she asked, looking all concerned.
“I am. I just have to run along now,” I replied, patting her hands and trying to wriggle my hands out of hers.
“You look all plush and pink,” she said, looking at me.
I didn’t think it was that obvious; she knew me too
