Except for the sound of ripples, everything was as calm as a graveyard. The ice spike, which was filled with Rey Reed's blood, easily penetrated the Siren's leader. It has never happened before.

Drax said, "That's just an ice spike, not a bronze dagger."

"Anything is possible," Rex replied and squatted beside Rey Reed, who is now recovering from the Siren's spell. "He came from a powerful lineage. Without a bronze dagger, he could easily kill any being. No matter the amount of power they were wielding."

Dan asked, "Including you?"

"Including the gods," Rex added. "He could suck their souls and erase them from existence. That's why they were called the soul reapers."
