Chapter 140. I Have Missed You

She lifted off the bed and headed downstairs, noticing her surroundings for the first time in weeks.

"Had those flowers been there the last time?" She wondered at the display of a new arrangement of daffodils in vases as she went downstairs. She trailed her hand down the banisters as she went downstairs and found them sparkling clean with no speck of dust at all. Same thing downstairs as well. Everywhere looked pristine, clean, and organized.

"Wow, Esther is really doing a good job. For a home with an active boy to be like this, this girl is a superwoman, and she deserved a raise. I should get someone else to help her out as well. This is not a home for one person to handle. I keep forgetting that I am no longer in my old place," she mused to herself.

She entered the kitchen with a beautiful smile that died on her face the moment she saw her grandma being helped to a stool by Esther while Emma stood by anxiously saying, "Grandma, sorry, ma. Sorry ma, grandma."
