Chapter 147. The Coast Is Clear
"Do you believe that we have nothing else between us?" Hot air from his mouth blew into her ear, and she could feel it down to her toes. She jerked as his hand came to her waist, holding her to him. Marissa doubted she wouldn't have turned into a hormonal puddle on the floor if he wasn't holding her up.
She felt his bulge at her back as he whispered, "Do you believe that we have nothing working for us at all, Rissa? What was that you said about the child being the only thing between us? Remind me again just how that child came to be. Do you, my dear, remember just how explosive it had always been between us?" He nipped her earlobe on that last statement, and Marissa quickly covered her mouth to prevent the moan that escaped her from being heard by her family.
"Damn, I have missed him," she thought as she wanted to turn to face him, but he held her in place.
"No, I think I like you the way you are; I've got you exactly where I need you; looking straight at those eyes
