Hours later, she woke up with a smile on her face and stretched as she thought of how well that had worked. Her eyes went to the alarm clock, and she yelled, “10:17 am! Bernard! Why did you not wake me up?  We are going to be late!”

“Because I enjoyed watching you sleep,” her husband said as he entered the bathroom, rubbing his hair with a towel with another slung low around his waist.

“Hmm, yummy,” her wayward subconscious said as she looked him over even as her husband bent down to kiss her. “Good morning, wifey.”

Marissa ran her tongue across his teeth as she felt the minty taste of their toothpaste in his mouth. “Hmm, now you are going to make me late. Why did you not wake me?” She stood up as he lifted his face to smile at her innocently. “I don’t believe that your innocent look lasted for a moment. If Mrs. Onwurah made any remark about me being the reason why we are late, I will blame you.”
