Henrietta, who sat down on the chair close to the door when the doctor who attended to Marissa came in, looked up abruptly at the sudden question from her friend.
She looked over at Mama and saw the worry on the old woman’s face as to what her daughter’s reaction would be when she heard about her husband.
Before either of them could say anything, though, Henrietta heard a snapping sound, and she looked over to see that her friend had dislodged the transfusion. She just flung it aside and made to stand up from the bed with a mutter of “If nobody would tell me, then I would go see for myself. By the time I check all the wards, I will...”
