She slowed her pace to hear if someone else had a different opinion than her. She needed to know where to start her instigation, after all.
“She is fine, Sha,” another lady whose voice Mrs. Martin couldn’t recognize added. “I wouldn’t deny that fact. What I am just skeptical about is why she had to be the one calling the shots when others more capable than she could have just taken up the position.”
“Like who?” someone else answered. Mrs. Martins wished she could see their faces so she would know who was who.
“For example, Mr. Jude na, even Mr. Simon or Mr. Fidelis, even Mr. Bo would be better at that position than her, I think. It is just my thought.”
“Why do I think that those thoughts of yours are based on prejudice? I think you are saying this because she is female. Or could it be that it is because she is pregnant? You see
