Chapter 10
I immediately drove the car to Kameron’s house. The sun was going down when I got home. I barely regained my senses as I got out of the car. I was so drained. I wanted to have a rest.
I winced when I saw Jaxsen sitting on the hood of his car, bored, turning the key with his fingers. He slightly loosened his necktie. His navy blue button-down shirt was folded at the elbows.
He looked hot in blue.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
He furrowed his eyebrows. “What took you so long to go home?”
“This is my life; stop pestering me,” I said sarcastically before leaving.
“The kids are waiting for you, Kameron.” The side of his lips rose when I looked at him confusedly. “Don’t tell me you forgot Kia’s birthday?”
Damn, who was he talking about? I acted like I was surprised because I had forgotten something. My eyes widened. “Oh my God, I forgot! Let’s go!”
