I walked on my tiptoes when I heard Jaxsen’s voice. I hadn’t seen him since we went to Kameron’s orphanage. They were in the backyard with Kameron’s father. They were talking about some serious matter.

Why was he here so early? It was just 8 a.m. I wanted to eavesdrop, but I only had a little time left. I needed to catch up with Steven’s schedule because now he was checking out of the hotel he was temporarily staying at.

I offered him to stay much longer in that hotel and pay all the expenses. But guess what? He declined. Well, that’s Steven and his pride. Tsk.
