“How is the preparation coming along?” Sophia’s dad asked one of his subordinates.

“Well, sir,” responded the subordinate, “we will be prepared to launch an attack in about a week’s time, if everything goes as planned,” he added.

“Well, unfortunately for you, we don’t have a week,” responded Sophia’s dad to the subordinate.

“But sir,” the subordinate answered him, “we need more time to prepare for the war, because the vampires are probably already aware of our fundamental weakness and would most likely want to capitalize on it to ensure their victory,” he added.

“Try as much as possible to get it done in less than a week,” Sophia’s dad ordered.

“Yes sir,” the subordinate answered, “consider it done sir.”

“Where did Marcus go?” Sophia’s dad asked.

“He left to go on some official business sir,” one of the subordinates responded, “Is there anything you wanted him to do for you sir?” she asked.
