Sophia’s POV

I sneezed three times before my eyes opened. Lucas’s forlorn face was the first one I saw.

“Thank goodness you’re alright. I thought you had died.”

“And how in the hell would you even think that, Lilah?”

That was Lily, she was sometimes upset at the trail Elijah’s thought took most of the time.

“She hurt her feet. Can’t you see that?” Elijah replied, trying to defend his thought.

“And you think a simple wound on the big toe is enough to kill?”

Elijah shrugged but his expression showed he was still not convinced that wasn’t the case.

“How very stupid are you, actually?”

“It should be obvious by now that it’s an extremely high ‘very’. It no longer surprises me, I don’t know why it still perplexes you.” This was from Derek, who was currently looking at me with some sort of relief.

“Will you guys just be quiet? Sophia here is just coming back from what or where we obviously know nothing about. Let’s allow he
