Chapter 30

Author’s POV

Silence remained in the car throughout the rest of the journey and there was this strange awkwardness also. However, after about three hours, they arrived at Ava’s house.

They got out from the car and went ahead to ring the doorbell. They rang it about three to four times, after which Ava came to check who was at the door.

“I’m coming,” Ava said as she dried her hair while walking towards the door, “who is it?” she said as she peeped to check who it was.

She immediately opened the door and saw Ellie (which by the way is the actual name of the witch of the north). Her face beamed with ecstasy. She couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Ellie, is that you?” Ava asked.

“Yup, it’s nice to get to see you again Ava,” replied the Witch.

Immediately, Ava ran to her and gave her a tight warm hug.

“I really missed you a lot, Ellie,” Ava said while smiling with her eyes closed and tears trickling down her cheeks.
