Author’s POV

His speech was accompanied by huge chants and howls that would probably scare off any potential rivals. After the speech, he and his followers got into a couple of minivans and drove off to the site where the fight would take place. On their arrival to the field, Liam, the current Alpha was already there with his formidable entourage. Sophia’s dad came out of his minivan and went to meet Liam.

“Great Liam!” Sophia’s dad said, hailing the Alpha, “isn’t it a lovely day today?” he asked.

“It is a lovely day indeed,” Liam replied Sophia’s dad, “though I can’t guarantee that it will be lovely throughout its span.”

“I do hope we make this fight as civil as possible,” Sophia’s dad responded, “the last thing anyone would want to see is a display of the lack of good sportsmanship from any one of us.”
