Chapter 23. Living With Him for 3 Days

It was a very traumatic morning for Iris and her dad. After procuring the death certificate, Eric Davenport transported his mom's body to their hometown, Edgefield, in the state of Louisiana, for her last rites. Iris's grandfather was a schoolteacher at Edgefield and had built a small house there. Her granny had lived there all her life till she became too old to take care of herself. With Eric living in Houston and working there, he forced her to abandon her husband's house and move in with them. 

Her last wish was to be buried beside her husband at Edgefield Cemetery. So they traveled to the small house in Edgefield and made funeral preparations.
