Chapter 32. Confrontations

“Two girls? How did they look like?” asked Nelson. Ciara described Alanis and Annalise vividly.

“Oh my God,” mumbled Nelson as he realized that Annalise might have seen Alanis and left. “What do I do now?” He sat on the staircase in shock. Carter emerged from his bedroom and looked at Nelson with surprise.

“Hey, Nel! Did you spend the night on my staircase?” He laughed, but Nelson shook his head.

“No, I just came in. Last night Annalise too came in, you know, at the same time as Alanis. She saw Alanis kiss me and announce her pregnancy, I think. That’s why she left without meeting me,” said Nelson. Ciara's and Carter’s eyes widened with disbelief.

“Then? Go to get the house and talk to her,” suggested Carter.

“I think I’ll go to the office and talk to her,” said Nelson.
