Chapter 11. A Surprise First Date!

"Where is this place? All I can see are restaurants, shopping malls, and commercial buildings," said Sapphire, looking around. Denver grinned and led her toward a pizza joint.

"Your special place is a pizza joint? Seriously?" asked Sapphire with a huge, cheerful grin on her face. Denver didn't answer, but tightened his hold on her hand and led her inside. He walked with her straight to the counter and ordered two boxes of pizza instead of occupying any seat.

"Are we not going to eat it here?" asked a confused Sapphire. Again, that grin! It will now make her go crazy. "Stop smiling Denver. Can't you answer me for a change?" she said, rolling her eyes. Yet he didn't answer and stood checking their menu card as if it was the most important thing to do.

"One last question. When can I return to Lola's party?" she asked.
