Chapter 14. The Chaos Over Denver's Ring

Sapphire went downstairs alone, since going down with Denver would make it obvious that she was with him. It would make her mom furious. The moment she went downstairs, she saw her mom chatting with Denver's mom. Vienna was nowhere to be seen.

"Mom, were you looking for me?" asked Sapphire, going towards her.

"Yes, your dad's calling you," said her mom, looking a little down. Sapphire couldn't understand why he suddenly summoned her. She had done nothing wrong.

"Is there a problem, Mom?" she asked in a worried tone, walking out in a pissed-off mood. What could he want now? It sure didn't look good seeing her mom's mood. They entered their house to see her dad sitting and talking on the phone. He looked up at them and disconnected the call.
