Chapter 30. Heated up

There was a pin-drop silence in the room as everyone looked at one another warily. No one knew how he would react now. 

"No one Uncle Brad. I just asked Sapphire to be my girlfriend and she agreed. So, we're officially together and need your blessings, please," said Denver. Only he had the guts to talk to him while everyone cowered. Sapphire facepalmed and stayed hidden in a corner, too scared to even take a peek. 

Officer Williams chuckled. "I thought you would marry her already. You're slow, man," he said as everyone gaped at him with their jaws dropped to the floor. 

"Maybe if that crazy d**** lord wasn't after them, he would have," said his ma.
