Chapter 31. Terrorized

They jumped to the pounding on Denver's door. Sapphire looked at Denver with horror. Who could it be at 4:30 in the morning? Denver went to open the door while Sapphire went to hide in his en-suite. He opened the door to find a worried Stuart standing there. "Den, hurry and come downstairs. Carry your gun and everything that you need," he said in a worried tone. Sapphire came out of her hiding place.

"What happened bro?" asked Denver.

"Some people had broken into your house last night, Sapphire. Uncle Brad went this morning and found that they have searched the entire house. He needs your help, Den," said Stuart. Sapphire panicked as Denver picked up his gun and loaded it.

"I'm coming with you too," she said.

"No, you stay here. Uncle Brad has specifically asked you to stay here. There might be a bomb planted inside the house. He has called the bomb squad too," said Stuart. Denver ran out with Stuart. Sapphire went downstairs to her mom's room to talk to her.
