Chapter 30. Announcing to the Family

The whole family was in the dining room having their dinner when Stuart and Allison walked in with a delicious cake to celebrate.

"Is it what I think it is?" asked ma with a grin, looking at the engagement ring on Allison's finger.

"Yes, ma, we're engaged," said Stuart with a grin. Everyone congratulated them except Drake, who couldn't stop laughing.

"Did she bust your lips when you proposed?" asked a grinning Drake, being the first one to notice it when Stuart had completely forgotten about it.

"Shut up, Drake. My lips got injured in a fight at Allison's office. I saved her from her best friend's fiancé, who was creating a scene there," said Stuart. He explained about Jaden and Rosalie and everyone listened intently.

Their ma made Stuart and Allison cut the cake up into slices as they all congratulated them. Allison served everyone a piece, thankful to have such a supportive family to call her own. "So, when do you want your wedding to happen?"
