Chapter 28. Confessions on a Date

Drake finally returned home by 5 o’clock in the evening. Alexis was sitting impatiently in the living room, waiting for him. 

“Hey, precious girlfriend! Did you miss me?” asked Drake, opening his arms out to her the moment he walked inside. Alexis jumped up and ran into his arms. 

“Yes, very much. I was waiting for you to come home,” she told him, her face embedded into his chest, inhaling his cologne. It felt so heavenly in his arms. “Did you miss me too?” asked Alexis. Drake pulled her closer. Of course, he had missed her. The whole day he had been longing to see her, thinking about her. It was sheer torture! He had waited for the evening to arrive when he could return home and see his Alexis. 

“Yes, missed you badly. I couldn’t concentrate much on my work today. You were distracting me all the time!” He chuckled. Alexis grinned back. 

“So were you,” she told him. “So, are we going on a date?” she asked hopefully.
