Chapter 15. Making up to Her

Sean looked down at his feet after being reprimanded by his dad. Did Vienna complain about him? He felt upset that she did. "Now she's got my whole family on her side. Why do I need to live here?" he said, extremely upset, climbing upstairs to his room. His parents exchanged glances and his ma, who had finished dinner, went upstairs to talk to him.

He was lying on his bed with a sulk as she entered his room. "Sean, it's not what you think?" she told him. She understood from his statement that he had concluded that Vienna had complained to them about him. She actually hadn't come out of her room ever since she returned from the party, and they all had concluded that Sean might have spoken harshly to her.
