Chapter 28. A New Life

Ashley’s POV

I felt my whole body burning up and the sweat comes out of my pores all over. The pain is killing me, and yet I couldn’t say anything. I am half awake and half asleep at the same time but I could feel the people around me. I can hear their voices talking in the room.

My mother who I am sure is the one holding my hand, is trembling in mixed emotions. The doctors are probably the people she’s talking to, there are two of them. I hear their worried voices discussing about my condition.

“What happened to my daughter doc? Can she survive this?!”

“Yes of course Mrs. Snipes, do not worry so much and pray for a fast recovery. Some humans die after a wolf’s bite but she displays a hundred percent survival. So I guess we are very lucky!”

“Oh, thank heavens for that doctor!”

Wait, are we in the City or back in Langstone Palace? I couldn’t open my eyes yet. My body feels so tired and the pain is burning through my inner organs now. If I co
