Genesis POV
Staying in the palace hadn’t been as disastrous as I had thought it would be. The place was magical, each area unique in its own quirky way. The soldiers in this part of the castle were loyal to Will and, by extension, to me as well. The first time I had expected them to corner me and try to drag me out, they didn’t.
I gazed around the pale ivory-painted room. I lay in my bed, patiently waiting. The room was dark except for the flickers of moonlight that occasionally seeped through the clouds. It had happened during the first week of our arrival, when Will and I had said goodnight to each other and the servants had brought me to this very room.
