Chapter 23. Distracted

Cybele met Gael's indifferent gaze. He knew. All along, he had known that the boy she had fallen in love with a few years earlier was Kevin. And yet, he had allowed him to come there and now with that declaration in front of everyone, including his own wife, Caitlyn, she felt torn between those two feelings. They were different, but equally intense.

Aurora arrived.

"Each Alpha will be guided by one of us to their quarters with their mate and will be served a light supper, which they should make in their own rooms, and tomorrow you will meet again for the second celebration..." Aurora said, feeling that the atmosphere there was tense, but she had to fulfill her obligation.

Gael looked at everyone one by one, greeted them with a slight nod and entered the palace.

The others followed him and found people who took them to the room where each of them would be staying and everything was just as Aurora had said.
