Chapter 8. The Family
Cybele had no reaction. Her mother had defended her and that was news to her. Perhaps Cybele had been too quick to judge Aurora, Gael himself had warned her about that. But she remained silent until the carriage pulled up in front of a two-storey house with a surprisingly well-kept and species-rich garden.
Cybele got down and couldn't help but notice the cherub of the fountain who was pouring water into his canteen with one hand while holding a kind of fireball with the other.
Cybele entered the house following Aurora and soon two children came to celebrate her arrival. She sat down on a huge, comfortable sofa and told and listened to the children's stories. She noticed that the youngest, with long, almost golden brown hair, didn't look much like the people of the tribe and the eldest of the brothers was the picture of Gael. However, everyone in the tribe was similar, and she shouldn't be jealous of a man she barely knew.
