Chapter 65. Hard Truth

Zeus POV

As soon as we get home from the meeting, I check my phone. The little red dot is still blinking brightly in the middle of the forest. I have vague memories of being there when we took Elara to find the Imperial Temple, and I am sure I can easily find my way back.

My father is waiting for us on the steps of the pack house with his hands on his hips. We have been gone more than he likes, and he is getting irritated. He has something to say, but I don’t care to hear it. I fully believe he is the reason Elara ran away in the middle of the night. He is not on the list of people I trust at the moment.

I storm past him and into the pack house, heading straight for my room. I begin throwing clothes and items I might need into a duffle bag. I don’t plan on spending another moment away from Elara.

My door creeks open, and I see my brothers and Dad standing in the doorway watching me. “Where are you going?” Zane asks.
