Chapter 71. Fading

Elara POV

Zeke is standing in front of the door to the pack house when we arrive. He looks pissed. I am assuming Zane filled him in on the ride home. Zeus takes in a sharp breath when he sees his brother. Zane hasn’t mentioned his eye color change, but I know Zeke will not let it slide. Essentially, Zeus has given up his position in the Obsidian Pack. He is an Imperial Pack wolf now.

Zane puts the car in part, and he glances back at me. The tension between us is unruly. One moment, we are at each other’s throats, and the next, he wants to rip off my clothes. We are walking a fine line, and each of us could be tilted in one direction or the other. It won’t be easy like it was with Zeus. If we are going to be together, it will be a hard fought battle.
