Chapter 74. Cells

Emery POV

I can’t remember how long I have been in this cell. There is no light to tell me the passing of time, and I barely remember why I was put down here in the first place. One moment, I was blissfully leaving the Obsidian Pack with my new mate, and the next, I was being ushered into cells.

At first, I was alone, but as time has passed, more and more werewolves have been ushered in. All of them with glowing purple eyes. Something is happening in the Amethyst Pack, but none of the prisoners are talking about it.

The sound of the cell next to me opening wakes me, and I see a blonde woman being ushered in. I watch carefully from my cot, trying not to draw attention to myself. She looks familiar, but it isn’t until she glances in my direction that I realize where I know her from. I quietly wait until the guards leave before approaching the silver bars between us. Her golden eyes are watching me with great interest.

“Elara?” I whisper.
