He asked whether he could kiss her, and she simply granted him permission for everything that followed. Her face flushed, but before she could retract her words, he captured her lips. The kiss was intense, infused with a touch of urgency. His hands were unyielding as they drew her in, bringing her nearer to his body than she ever imagined.
